This is a scarce, antique copy of "Taintor's Route and City Guides" - this particular guide is for "The Erie Railway and its Branches." Published in 1867 by Taintor Brothers in New York. The guide features 20 color maps in all. "With descriptive sketches of the cities, villages, stations, and of scenery and objects of interest along the route" by H.F. Walling. There are illustrated advertisements at both the front and back. Please see the photos for the complete list of contents.Condition:The pages are in great condition - mostly clean and white with no writing and only some trace foxing at the top margin of pages 11-16, a light stain at the lower-outer edge of pages 6 & 7, and a 1/2" tear at the outer edge of the advertisement page between pages 4 & 5. The covers have detached from the spine; the top and bottom pieces of the spine (about 1" and 1/2" respectively) are missing; light stains at the top-right corner of the front cover; a dime-sized layer of paper has peeled off at the bottom-right corner… Read More

The guide contains illustrated advertisements at both the front and back.
