About This Item
New York: The Macmillan Company, 1923. First U.S. edition. "A delicately poetic and ... romantic love story [set] against the gathering storm clouds of the impending Trojan War" that is a "mingling of poetry and prose" (NY Times review, Nov. 11, 1923). Number 269 of 750 SIGNED, NUMBERED copies. 8vo dark-blue cloth backed blue paper boards; 98 pages. Very good to near fine with moderate foxing throughout (otherwise would be fine). In publisher's rare, unrecorded box covered in blue paper and with printed label matching that on the book. Not recorded in Errington [A64(b)]. Box is split at upper top corner but otherwise quite good with general soiling and wear, old damp stain to lower right corner, and small gauge on back but front label relatively fresh. RARE IN ORIGINAL BOX.
