New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1896. 1st US Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. G+ (Good Plus)/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. From the collection of Henry and Nina Cornell (nee Bayard), descendants of Ezra Cornell, Peter Stuyvesant, and the prominent Bayard family of Pittsburgh, PA. Olive cloth with gilt lettering and knotwork style decoration. Spine and edges moderately browned; minor edgewear; slightly bumped spine ends and corners, with fraying just starting at the former. Top edge gilt. Binding tight, text clean. Interior lightly toned and foxed. Prev owner name "Eleanor Bayard" in pencil to ffep with 1897 date. No stickers or stamps. Not ex-library. 132 pages.
