London: Nisbet, 1870 bevelled edge cloth boards in black and gilt design but soiled and rubbed with splits to spine ends, hinges cracked and loosened, endpapers soiled, closed edges soiled, ink inscriptions to fep and reverse of frontis, frontis has water stains to top and bottom margins, tissue guard present, light foxing corner of pp 75-99 has a stain and has rotted away at the tip of the lower corner, a good only reading copy, could be tidy up by trimming edges and rebinding or cleaning the case and recasing, folk and historical tales from the Alsace region, the English translation of the French translation from the original German, xix 395pp. First Edition. Decorative Cloth. Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6? - 7? tall.
