Originally published in 1764, title pages list only "translated from the Persian by Sir Charles Morrell", when actually they were authored by James Kenneth Ridley. xiii, (1), 334, (1), 334 pages, each with 2nd title page with engraving. and 3 additional engravings in text each volume, all by R. Westall, R.A. Two volumes in contemporary polished calf, gilt backs, Very Good, light wear at edges and hinges, ink spot front cover, front end pages and smaller spot at 1st title page of Vol. II, prior owner initials. , still a handsome and solid set. . Later Edition. Polished Calf. Very Good. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
