With a frontispiece engraving titled "Grandfather's House." Chapters include - An Autumn Walk, The Two Maidens, A Brilliant Lover, Sad Consequences of a Wrong Marriage, Lost Affections, The Flora's Two Suitors, Neglected Wife, A Gambling Husband...please see the photos for the complete list. There are four pages of publisher's advertisements at the back.
Condition:
Cloth tears at the cover corners. There is a light stain at the top edge of the text block - the stain has affected the text pages throughout the second half of the book, where a small stain can be seen at the upper-inner corners. Cloth tears at the top and bottom edges of the spine, and along the bottom edges of the boards. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Consistent mild foxing throughout the book (though there are occasional, random spots where the foxing is darker); heavier foxing on the frontispiece, the title page, and the tissue guard in between. Light stain along the top edge of the two front end papers and the frontispiece. Overall the book is in Good condition.
