FIRST EDITION AND AN INDISPENSABLE REFERENCE FOR ANYONE COLLECTING WORKS ON THE CONFEDERACY. It describes one hundred books the author, after considerable research and consultation, considers essential reading on the subject. It includes several works that were also on "Mrs. Mitchell's list" of works used while researching background material for GONE WITH THE WIND.
