Inscribed and dated in the year of publication by James Dillon White to Eileen Cond on a decorative bookplate affixed to the front flyleaf. Cond was a noted English book collector who sent her bookplate to favorite authors, who signed and returned them by mail. A battered old sailing ship attempts to run a Royal Navy blockade in this nautical adventure by the author of the Roger Kelso novels. Octavo. Original blue cloth binding, with gilt titles. Just a hint of foxing to the top edge. The dust jacket is price-clipped, with some moderate sun fading along the spine; otherwise very good.
