First edition of the third Pellucidar novel. Octavo. 312 pp. Frontispiece. Original bright blue cloth lettered in black on front cover and spine. Spine very slightly rubbed at extremities. Otherwise a fine copy. In the original color pictorial dust jacket by Paul F. Berdanier.

First published as a six-part serial in The Blue Book Magazine, March-August 1929, with a front cover illustration on each of the first five installments by Frank Hoban (Hoban also did a great many interior black and white illustrations) and a map by Burroughs in the first three installments.

Synopsis

Tanar of Pellucidar is a novel written by Edgar Rice Burroughs, the third in his series set in the interior world of Pellucidar. It first appeared as a six-part serial in The Blue Book Magazine from March-August 1929. It was first published in book form in hardcover by Metropolitan Books in May, 1930.
