LONDON: THOMAS NELSON AND SONS Green cloth boards with gilt blocked titles and tank to spine, blind blocked publisher's device to front, top edge stained green. 205 x 145 mm approx. viii + 312 pp, Colour frontis + all other illustrations/ maps as called for. Undated no printing history stated. The book was first published in1933 and the copy offered is No15 in the publisher's Nelsonian Library series under the editorship of John Hampden.The copy offered which has seen much use has the attribute of being signed in black ink by the author to the title page. Fair no d/j (Book- heavy shelf wear to cloth, mild occasional foxing and soiling to fore and bottom edges of book block with very occasional very light foxing to margins, author signature as above, no previous owner name or insc. Binding sound with no other notable defects). Sold and priced as a binding copy with premium as signature of a holder of the Military Cross.
