Oldbourne, London, 1959. Reprint. Hardcover. Poor/No Dust Jacket. list of illustrations. Within the text there are contemporary black and white photographs. Light blue coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. Donald Caskie was Minister of the Scottish Kirk, Paris, when Germans invaded. On the Gestapo Black List he escaped and engaged in underground work. He was then arrested, sentenced to death by Nazis, passed through seven camps, & survived. Shelf wear to the bottom edges of the book and the head and the heel of the spine are slightly softened. Dust marks to the top paper edge and there are other marks to the book panels. Booksellers sticker on the front paste down, and there is a gift inscription on the free front end paper, but, more importantly there is a piece cut out from the ffep., measuring 2.5" x 4.5" .
