All plates are intact. First edition, first issue, with the publisher's imprint printed in two lines on the spine and Donohue mentioned on the copyright page. Published April, 1920, on the copyright page. Housed in a new facsimile DJ that is quite beautiful and protected by a mylar cover. This was the seventh novel in the Tarzan series. In the year 1914, while John Clayton, Lord Greystoke (Tarzan) is away from his plantation home in British East Africa, it is destroyed by invading German troops from Tanganyika. On his return he discovers among many burned bodies one that appears to be the corpse of his wife, Jane. Maddened, the ape-man seeks revenge not only on the perpetrators of the tragedy but upon all Germans, and sets out for the battle front of the war in West Africa. A very respectable First Edition with a new facsimile DJ to protect it for generations to come. LOC SSS-08
