About This Item
8vo HB. pp; 286. Offsetting to half-title and final page. Lacking jacket. Toning to edges of text-block. Very Good in flecked green cloth, lettered black to spine, with a black publisher's 'ex-libris' stamp to the upper board. No evidence that this is anything other than a 1st / 1st. I haven't been able to find any reference to this binding for a 1st edition. Not a library bind, as there are no library markings at all. I've seen a US first of another Sayers title (Harcourt & Brace) with a similar binding in mustard cloth
