London: Victor Gollancz, 1939. First Edition. Cloth. Very Good/Good Plus.. Octavo. Pp. 286. Black black, red spine lettering, in dust jacket. Minor foxing to prelims and endpages, and fore- and top edges, tiny Toronto bookseller stamp at bottom of front free endpaper, else a nice, tight, square copy. Yellow dust jacket is soiled and browned, and with a couple of stains to rear panel, nicks at the tips, shallow closed tears at head of front panel, small shallow piece missing at head of spine extending slightly to rear panel (text not affected), shallow strip missing from tail of spine (text not affected). Overall, a very good copy in a good plus dust jacket.
