This is a Very Good Copy of this book in Publisher's green cloth with gilt title lettering to spine in a Good Only Dust-Jacket that has several small nicks and tears to the outer edges of the dust-jacket.Not price clipped.This copy has one small previous ownership name to the front endpaper.Illustrated with some 10 b&w plates.The book has a firm binding with no hinge weakness.Clean copy internally.Jim Corbett was an Indian-born British hunter,tracker,naturalist and Writer who hunted a number of man-eating tigers and leopards in the Indian subcontinent. He held the rank of colonel in the British Indian Army and was frequently called upon by the Government of the United Provinces of Agra and Oudh, now the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, to kill man-eating tigers and leopards that were preying on people in the nearby villages of the Kumaon-Garhwal Regions.He authored Man-Eaters of Kumaon, Jungle Lore, and other books recounting his hunts and experiences, which enjoyed critical acclaim and commercial success.
