About This Item

New York: International Publishers, 1939. First published in 1919, John Reed's description of the Russian Revolution remains the primary source for the events. This is a Fine copy of a reprint by the publishing house of the Communist party; while there is no publication date, the rear flap of the dustjacket is an ad for "Two Systems" by Eugene Varga and that book was first published in 1939; Quercus therefore asigns the same date, since it could be no earlier, to this volume. Red cloth binding with black lettering on the spine. Clean text; 371 pages, with Appendices. The dustjacket is Very Good (Plus); unclipped, with little wear aside from some small chips at the corners and a darkened spine. A solid and attractive version of this classic of 20th-Century history; surprisingly scarce in the trade. In an archival plastic protector.. Reprint Edition. Hard Cover. Fine/Very Good Plus. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
