About This Item
Beverly Hills, CA: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer [MGM], 1951. Vintage black-and-white double-weight studio still photograph from the 1951 film. Struck from the original negative, with offset black border. Starring actors Ericson and Mauldin are prominently featured. "Silver Screen Archives" rubber-stamp on the verso.
Based on an original story by Alfred Hayes and Stewart Stern. Phillip (Ericson) is a soldier in Italy during WWII, where he meets and marries Teresa (Angeli), and returns to the US to an overbearing mother (Patricia Collinge). Hayes and Stern were nominated for an Academy Award for their story, and the film grossed more international sales than domestic.
8 x 10 inches. Very Good plus, with light curling and toning, and a short corner crease.
