Osgood McIlvaine & Co. 1895 1st thus. Dark green cloth with the decorated TH monogram in gold on front cover. Top edge gilt. In very good condition. Covers has slight marking, some minor rubbing on edges. Private bookplate on front end paper, (Hugh Lindsay). Slight browning to tissue guard & endpapers. Pages rough cut slight foxing on inside cover. Else a clean and tight copy. 519pp. Etched frontis.portrait of T.Hardy with his facsimile signature on opposite page. One other etching and map.
