London, published for the Author by Charles Dudley,, 1861.. THROUGH CANADA AND THE UNITED STATES. ("MORTON PRICE"). 8vo. (4)+140pp.+pp.59*-62*. Lithograph portrait frontispiece and 3 tinted lithograph plates. Includes a reference to the 1859 England tour of USA and Canada, pages 105-107. Morton Price (1824-1876) was an amateur actor who became lessee of Sadler's Wells Theatre on Phelp's retirement in 1862. This book is an entertaining account of a trip made by the author, in consequence of a bet that he could not, as an actor, earn five hundred pounds a year.
