Philadelphia: Presbyterian Board of Publication, 1871. 1st. Hardcover. Very good. Written by Annie Ketchum Dunning (1831-96): daughter of a New York City politician, wife of a Connecticut Reverend, and author of numerous works of inspirational fiction for the Presbyterian Board of Publication between 1860 and 1887. She often published under the psuedonym "Nellie Grahame." Bound in publisher's original red cloth with spine stamped in gilt. Neat presentation and signature by previous owner on front end papers. Minor wear to extremities. 4 3/8 x 6 3/4 inches. 374 pages.
