About This Item
New York: Crown Forum, 2013. VG/NF. Stated First Edition. Eighteenth printing. Signed by the late, great, Charles Krauthammer on the front endpaper. The book is tight and square with solid hinges and binding, good tips, and clean boards. Spine ends gently pushed. Faint publisher glue residue near spine head on top fore-edges. The textblock is clean with no writing, bookplate, or markings and not BCE, ex-library, or remaindered. The dust jacket is unclipped ($28.00) with a faint crinkle to the spine head, else Fine. Protected in a new Brodart Mylar cover. 387 pages. 6½ x 9½" tall.
Krauthammer was a brilliant stylist known for his uncompromising honesty that consistently challenged conventional wisdom. Although one of the country's leading conservative thinkers, Krauthammer's views on such topics as feminism, evolution and the death penalty defy ideological convention. Things That Matter also features several of his major essays and penetrating — often bemused — reflections on everything from border collies to Winston Churchill to the pleasures of speed chess.
