Meriden, CT: The Ralston Society, 1937. First Edition. Good. First edition, first printing. Bound in publisher's maroon cloth stamped in gilt, lacking the dust jacket. Good only, with fading to spine and wear at corners spine ends, gilt tarnished and rubbed, light staining and light rippling to cloth. Front joint a little tender, former owner names on front pastedown; light toning to contents. Numerous notations written in pencil at the rear endsheets and pastedown. A scarce first printing of a book Hill claimed was inspired by a suggestion from Andrew Carnegie.
