About This Item
U.S.A.: Random House/Penguin, 1944. 1st Edition 2nd Printing. Soft cover. Very Good. A good to Very Good copy of the second paperback printing-April 1944--after the hardcover release. This copy is signed by several of the Doolittle Raiders--including Doolittle, author and Captain Ted W. Lawson--both on the title page; and also by David Thatcher(engineer-gunner on crew #7, William L. Birch (Bombardier crew #1), J. R. Stork (Co-Pilot Crew #10), Frank A. Kappel (Crew #1), Hank Potter (Navigator Crew #1), Frank Hoover (Pilot Crew #2), R. E. Cole (Co-Pilot Crew #1) and Dave Pohl (Gunner #8-part of the crew that ended up in Russia). This little paperback book is in good-very good condition--no marking on the pages but some of the front pages are a tiny bit loose and the front panel has a corner crease. A scarce copy of a historical book with several signatures of the Doolittle Raider crews.
