London: B. T. Batsford, 1951. Limited Edition: #177/350. Hardcover. Quarto, xvi, 320 pages. In Very Good condition. Bound in publisher's half red morocco and cloth boards. Spine with gilt lettering. Light fading to spine. Housed in publisher's red cloth slipcase. Slipcase in Very Good minus condition, with some rubbing and shelfwear. Bookplate and matching ink gift inscription to the front pastedown. One of 350 numbered copies, this copy is number 177 and signed by Symonds. With 272 plates. Shelved case 11. Thomas Tompion was an English clockmaker, watchmaker and mechanician who is still regarded as the "Father of English Clockmaking" 1368211. Shelved Dupont Bookstore.
