About This Item

Lighten Black cloth with gold lettering, creme boards, and black metal corner protectors. Small bumps along the edges, bruised spine ends. Signed blue ink near the bottom of the main title page as usual encompassing some of the printed page.

It is hard for me to remove the signature of a Pulitzer Winning book when it looks as good as this one for $25. It is not perfect but it is good enough to save for any collection. But you can use it for a Gap Filler till you can find a $150 replacement.

Synopsis

A Thousand Acres is a 1991 novel by American author Jane Smiley. It won the 1992 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and was adapted to a 1997 film of the same name. The novel is a contemporary deconstruction of Shakespeare's King Lear and is set on a thousand acre (4 km²) farm in Iowa that is owned by a family of a father and his three daughters. It is told through the point of view of the oldest daughter, Ginny.

About Pulitzer Prize Books.com

I am a private collector, mainly Pulitzer Prize winners, but I inherited 1000's of hardcovers and looking to sell them off. I will be relocating in the near future, and need to lighten the load.
