Lisl Weil. HATFIELD BOOKS AND MEMORABILIA, a FIVE STAR SELLER, presents a rare find in juvenile literature--THREE BIRTHDAY WISHES by RUTH LANGLAND HOLBERG. Never reprinted after mid 50's, this is a FIRST EDITION THUS, THIRD PRINTING VIA NUMBER LINE. Ruth Langland Holberg was the author of many children's books and 2 very successful cook books. Prior to his death, the author's husband illustrated all her books. For this book, she was lucky to engage LISL WEIL, a well-known children's author in her own right. Ms Weil traveled to Cape Ann to get the drawings just right. DJ flaps are well preserved as lay ins. Former Library book, with marks on spine, first ffep and title page for that purpose. No marks internally, binding tight, cover corners + top/bottom spine frayed, front/back cover rubbed but clear, square. Good + . Incomplete DJ. NOTED appraiser James Beattie has valued this copy at $60.
