Published by Collins' Clear-Type Press, London; Undated. Illustrated Pocket Classics 752pp. No dj. 18mo. Illustrated by F. C. Tilney. Condition: Very Good.
Published as part of the Collins' Illustrated Pocket Classics. It is undated but most likely published in the 1920s. Bound in red cloth boards with gold gilt decoration and title to the spine. There is a little darkening and marking to the boards and some fading to the spine. Inside, the pages are clean and bright with just a little of toning, but otherwise free from marks or damage and in lovely condition.
Alexandre Dumas was a prolific French writer in the nineteenth century, his works have been translated into numerous languages and he is one of the most widely read French authors. Two of his most popular works include The Count of Monte Cristo, and The Three Musketeers, historical adventures that have delighted and captivated readers for generations. This example is beautifully illustrated by F. C. Tilney, and is a book to be cherished by anyone whose imagination has been captured by this adventure and the way in which Dumas brings his characters to life.

Synopsis
The Three Musketeers is a novel written by Alexandre Dumas. It recounts the adventures of a young man named d'Artagnan after he leaves home to become a guard of the musketeers. D'Artagnan is not one of the musketeers of the title, which refers to Athos, Porthos, and Aramis, three inseparable friends who live by the motto: "All for one, one for all" ("Tous pour un, un pour tous"). The story of d'Artagnan is continued in Dumas' Twenty Years After and The Vicomte de Bragelonne. The three novels are together known as the d'Artagnan Romances.
