Norwalk, CT: Easton Press. Near Fine. 1979. Hardcover. Ibsen's three plays were first produced in Christiana (Oslo), Norway in 1882, 1884, and 1890. Notes and and Introduction by John Gassner. This book is beautifully bound in a full dark blue leather binding with 22 kt gold spine and cover decorations. The spine has four raised bands with five decorated compartments. All edges are gilt, and the book has tan silk moire end papers with a yellow silk ribbon bookmark. The pages are acid-free and they are smyth-sewn, not glued. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings. There are no owner bookplates or owner names in the book. This book appears to have been unread.
