First Edition with this title, reprints "Grushenka" (1933), adult erotica about Russian serf girl, kidnapping, bordellos. Reprinted several times, by Brandon House, Holloway House, foreign and print-on-demand editions, this edition scarcer amongst US contemporaries. Generally attributed to filmmaker Val Lewton, a Russian-American regular on the B-movie circuit, "Gone with the Wind" story editor, and producer of several 1940s horror films. Very Good, light soil, rubbing, toning, brief spine crack. For consenting, mature audiences.
