London: Tormenting: Charles Tilt. Heraldry and Intellect: Thomas McLean, 1831, 1828, and 1829, respectively. First Editions all. Quarter Morocco. Marbled paper on boards. . Good. Oblong 4to. 25 by 38 cm. [6], [7], [6] pp. or 19 leaves. Lacking titles for Tormenting and Intellect. Heraldry and Intellect are both hand-colored throughout, while Tormenting is uncolored. Notwithstanding the condition issues, these are all uncommon works. The March of Intellect is especially rare as a complete set. We could locate no institution that has the full suite, and this, we would add, mitigates the issue of our lacking its title, as there are no institutions who appear to have a title. Condition: besides missing titles, Tormenting is heavily soiled, dampstained and foxed, with a few repaired close tears and other margin problems addressed but still visible. The other two works are far less dirty, but they too have a touch of griminess.
