Plus 32 pages of new books and announcements by publisher Edward Arnold. Light shelf wear, corners rounded, top page edges dust stained. Two folding maps without tears. Gilt and black titles with moose inset on the front cover, gilt titles on spine. 17 illustrations plus two maps. An extraordinary 4000 mile adventure from Fort Wrangel to the Pelly lakes then down the Yukon river to the Behring Sea. Completely self contained in that the only supplies available where from the land, hunting & fishing sometimes abundant game still left him in periods of near starvation. The hardships he went through form a fine test of the true explorer's spirit.
