Harper, 1902 First edition illustrated by Newell, bound in imitation vellum. Heavy stock jacket is lined in moire cloth. Olive green jacket is turning brown and is brittle.Front decoration of Alice carrying a cake replicates cover design. Jacket is separated at the back fold and is missing approximately 1/3rd of the spine and is reinforced internally at the front joint.Near fine book in fair jacket.
Synopsis
Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There (1871) is a work of children's literature by Lewis Carroll (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson), generally categorized as literary nonsense. It is the sequel to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865).
