About This Item

BINDING/CONDITION: green cloth; small address label on the front endpaper, otherwise a Very Good book, with a Good dust jacket; the jacket is faded at the spine.. 8vo (8.25 inches tall) . Description: Dust jacket art by Paul Laune. This edition is not illustrated. In this sequel to My Friend Flicka, Ken's hopes for a race horse are centered on Flicka's overdue foal. Flicka has completely healed, and has grown into a beautiful and gentle mare. But due to her past injuries, the blinding speed of her youth is gone forever. Ken hopes that her foal will inherit her speed and help with the family's financial problems. But the colt turns out to be a throwback to Flicka's wild grandfather, the Albino. Thunderhead has inherited more from the Albino than just his looks. His disposition and unruly nature may be more than Ken can handle, and will lead Ken into more adventure than even he ever dreamed of. The only printed date is the 1943 copyright; this circa 1953 (date of owner's gift note).
