Octavo, 421pp. Blue cloth, title in gilt on spine. Wear to cloth spine. Stated "first edition" on the copyright page. In publishers dust jacket, very good condition, retail price on front flap, toning to spine and some wear along the top edge. Inscribed by the author to the daughter of National Security Advisor Gordon Gray, Alexandra Beebe. Inscription reads: "For lovely Alexandra Beebe with Christmas affection from the author. Robert Cutler. 1966." The author of this book, Robert Cutler, was the nation's first national security advisor, serving President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
