About This Item
London: Hutchinson & Co., 1935. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Red cloth, gilt-stamped lettering on spine. Illustrated. Boards a bit faded and scuffed along the edges; spine tips frayed; faint scattered foxing. A nice association copy. From the library of Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., with his bookplate, and inscribed to him by the author. Fairbanks (1909-2000) was an iconic American actor from Hollywoods Golden Era (his credits include Gunga Din), and a highly decorated naval officer of World War II.
