About This Item
Basil Blackwell, 1927 SIGNED on the title page in faded ink, this is the first trade edition, not the limited edition. The brilliant illustrations are by A. H. Watson. Some are in colour on fine art paper, others are in mono. All are splendid, matching the wonderful stories. In near fine condition for its age. No other inscriptions or annotations. Some pages have some slight tears, which was common in those days when books were often sold with uncut pages. However, this is all superficial and rather adds to the period charm. RARE in a signed first edition.. Signed by Author. 1st Edition.. Hardcover. Near Fine.
