About This Item

London: John Lane, The Bodley Head, 1907. Full brown coarse grain publisher's leather, decorated in gilt on backstrip to imitate raised spine. Marbled endpapers. Book consists of 169 pages of text followed by 511 numbered plates, some containing more than one image. All edges gilt. A title in the 'Spanish Series', published at the Bodley Head. A very uncommon title, especially in bound in leather, as most copies are found in decorative red cloth. Binding shows rubbing to outer joints and some wear to tips. Front joint beginning to split along bottom edge. Decorative spine shows light wear. Hinges still strong and boards are firmly attached. Covers, but for faults noted, are clean and attractive. Interior is fine. A near very good copy of a scarce title.. Full-Leather. Near Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
