Tan pictorial twilled cloth titled in gilt on cover and spine; illustrations by Dan Beard; [i-iv],220,[4]pp. Blanck's "A" binding (no priority). Moderately rubbed and worn at extremities, with publisher's imprint nearly invisible at base of spine; spine ends with mild fraying; amateur repairs to front and rear hinges; general light soiling; cover gilt and pictorial elements still bright with a shade of toning to spine; overall, a solid, about Very Good copy. Merle Johnson bibliography: "This was an attempt to carry on the Tom and Huck saga, and in so doing they were carried up "in the air" aboard a then problematical airship, crossing the United States and The Atlantic to Africa with Jim as the principal passenger."
