Edinburgh, UK: Thomas Nelson & Sons. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Forrest, A S. Undated but circa 1920. 272pp with publisher's adverts at rear, colour plate frontispiece and numerous further monochrome plate illustrations. In red cloth-covered boards. 12mo. Cloth a little rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, small mark on spine. Previous owner's details on front free endpaper, a little spotting on rear endpapers, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original pictorial dust jacket, worn with bumping and minor chips on edges, slightly loss at spine ends.
Synopsis
Tom Sawyer is the title character of the Mark Twain novel The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1876). He appears in three other novels by Twain: Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1884), Tom Sawyer Abroad (1894), and Tom Sawyer, Detective (1896). Sawyer also appears in at least three unfinished Twain works, Huck and Tom Among the Indians, Schoolhouse Hill, and Tom Sawyer's Conspiracy.
