About This Item
New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1927. Soft cover. Very Good/No Jacket. This hardcover book is square and tight. The boards and spine show minor wear to the edges and extremites, mostly at the upper and lower edge of the spine. There is a bend to the top third at the upper corner of the rear board. The gilt/lettering and illustrations are bright and legible, without significant loss. There are several small spots/smudges on the front board, along with mild darkening to the spine. The pages are very mildly toned, having no markings or folds. There is a dampstain to the edges of the first three pages (free end page - table of contents). There is a prior owners signature on the free end page. This is a wonderful copy, attractive on the shelf, and with a nice "heft" in the hand.
