About This Item
New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1954. Hardcover. Small 8vo. Blue tweed paper over boards with dark blue lettering, pictorial price-clipped dust jacket. 210pp. Frontispiece, line drawings, blue pictorial endpapers. Very good/very good. Book itself is tight, bright and quite nice but for couple of faint spots on outer page edges; jacket faintly edgeworn. A handsome first edition of ths fifth title in the 33-volume "New Tom Swift Jr. Adventures" (1954-71) that followed the original 38-volume "Tom Swift Series" (1910-35). The first five volumes (only these listed on inner flyleaf list) were all issued in 1954; last text page cites the sixth title, here incorrectly given as "Tom Swift and His Space Station" but published in 1955 as "Tom Swift and His Outpost in Space."
