About This Item
Hardcover Book in Dust Jacket. First Edition/Later Printing (1946). Book in Very Good Condition with a square and tight binding and bright, clean contents. Covers show rubbing and light bumping at tips and spine ends. Jacket is in Fair to Good condition and is price clipped and shows moderate wear particularly at spine ends. I have enclosed the Jacket in a removable Mylar sleeve to protect it from further wear. A nice copy of this classic tale of a young lad who sets off to see the World. Set during the time when America was just finding itself. Awarded the Newberry Medal in 1941. Illustrated throughout in color and black and white drawings by Paul Lantz.
