About This Item

New York: The Viking Press, 1947., 1947. First edition. First edition. A fine, bright copy in a bright fresh dust jacket with minor wear to head of spine and top front corner. An employee of a very large corporation dies in a hit-and-run accident. One of the firm's executives feels that it was murder, which creates great concern among the firm's employees. Nero and Archie are hired to clear up the matter. Was Waldo Wilmot Moore murdered or was his death an accident? The investigation puts the two smack dab in the middle of hundreds of young working women ... many of them suspects! A difficult title and an exceptional copy.
