Writer and cartoonist Ted Geisel was a successful illustrator for humor magazines before he became children's book author Dr. Seuss. In 1925, he had graduated from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, then developed comic masterpieces for a dozen years. The contents herein were drawn from those collections. Collected are essays of surrealism and literary nonsense including confessions on spying on General Grant during the Civil War; Cartoon essays supported by art creatures: Piscozooavistical Studies of Boids and Beasties; 17 full-page cartoon fantasies; Cartoon advertisements for Flit insecticide.
