With map of Mongolia, photographic frontispiece, and 48 plates from photographs. Scarce volume profusely illustrated from striking photographs detailing Bulstrode's adventures in Mongolia. This book has spent its life in India with some of the usual faults caused by a tropical climate. Text is clean and tight with toning, foxing and some worm damage to the first portion of the volume. Previous owner's name stamp on half-title, title and first page of text. There are a few notes in pencil on the first few pages. Handsome rebinding in quarterbound black calf. Spine banded and gold-stamped.. Hardcover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
