(1st US) Slightly smaller book, green cloth spine, green boards, gilt lettering bright on spine, bookplate at top right of first front end paper, green inside covers and adjacent end papers, 288 lightly browned heavy pages. Designed by Paul Bacon. DJ glossy blue with color-illustration of farmhouse and stone wall pastures on front, spine slightly faded, praise for "The Three Suitors" on back from Rebecca West, R.V. Cassill, Saturday Review and others. DJ has very slight wear to tips, light wear to spine top edge. Very Good DJ/Very Fine book.
