Close to Fine in a Near Fine dustwrapper with minor chipping to the heel of the spine. The concluding volume in Richter's THE AWAKENING LAND trilogy about the Ohio frontier and winner of the Pulitzer Prize. INSCRIBED and SIGNED by the author on the front endpaper: "Autographed for/Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Kirwan/and family of Pottsville/Conrad Richter/February 24/Pine Grove." Dustwrapper designed by John O'Hara Cosgrave II. Quite scarce when signed.

Synopsis

The Town is a novel written by Conrad Richter in 1950. It is the third installment of his Awakening Land trilogy, and was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1951.
