Recamier pasted to verso of titles, Haskell F.Norman's copy with his modern book-label, later boards, uncut, preserving original paper labels on spines, rubbed at edges, [Norman 1146], Paris, 1821 [4] xvi 396pp & [4] 522pp 3 plates. J.M.G.Itard (1774-1838) was one of the first specialists in otology and his treatise did much to establish the subject.Recamier was the first to recognise the process of metastasis in cancer.
