'Traite de la Sphere' was a popular 18th-century French study of astronomy and geography. With similar titles published by Vaugondy and Claude Buffier alike, Francois Robert published his version of 'Traite de la Sphere' which focused primarily on the astronomical systems with the discoveries of the most prominent astronomers of all time including Ptolemy, Tycho-Brahe, Descartes, and of course Isaac Newton! It even includes a short section on the Zodiac.
Note that this edition includes 5 folding engravings!
