Very Good/No Jacket. 19th Century European travel, 401 pages, First Edition, this hardcover is bound in light brown cloth with gilt decorations in a flower motif, the author's second book, issued without dust jacket, with the attractive armorial bookplate of Charles Plummer on front paste down, Plummer was an English historian, this copy with the scarce later binding with Houghton Mifflin & Company on lower spine panel, Book is Very Good with some light edge, corner wear, edge foxing, light wear to head and heel of spine, sound binding with Fine text. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall.
